EduPower Learnership Program

Our learners are based at our Mount Edgecombe academy for the full 12 months, from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, where they work through a structured learning and mentorship program. All our programs are SETA-accredited and lead to a qualification registered on the National Qualifications (NQF) framework.

EduPower offers learnership programs for both employed and unemployed learners, as well as for both able-bodied and disabled learners. We pride ourselves on our ability to be flexible and meet our client’s specific requirements. We offer both onsite and offsite client-hosted learnership programs. Our classrooms and on-the-job hosting environments are disabled-friendly, and we are able to scale up our capacity to meet our clients’ needs.

Work readiness program: A 10-day program prepares our previously unemployed youth to enter a working environment.

Training: Classroom Theory: Our classroom training is conducted by qualified facilitators who understand the concepts and principles of adult learning and facilitation. Our learners are taken through a series of assessments to determine their competencies. This training typically spans around 30 days and can either be completed upfront or over the 12-month program.

Incubation: Our mentors and coaches take our learners into our nurtured simulation environment to prepare them for the workplace, integrating theory and practice.

Practical experiential learning: Learners are placed in our live environment where they gain exposure to different roles and fields including debt collections, telesales, customer services, quality assurance, and lead generation.

Placement: On completion of the learnership program, or if appropriate, our learners are placed into their first full-time employed roles within our network of employer partners.
