SOUTH AFRICAN NAVY DIVERS RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR 2024 HAS STARTED: ENDS 30 MAY 2023
The South African National Defense Force is searching for potential SA Navy divers who are below 26 years and can be able to swim 300 meters freestyle.
To qualify for the recruitment requirements, you should be able to do the following during the assessment day:
- 300 meters freestyle swim
- 2.4-kilometers run in under 13 minutes
- 40 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, and seven pull-ups
- 25m under-water swim and 50m weight-belt swim
- 50m snorkel swim
- 50m swim with a diving mask full of water
Should you be successful with the assessment, you will then join the 2024 Military Skills Development Intake.
REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA
- South African
- 18 – 22 years old
- Matric with pure Maths
- If you are older than 22, you should hold a tertiary qualification and be 26 years or younger
On the day of the assessment, you should bring the following with you:
- Swimming costume
- Clothes for physical training
- Water bottle with water

Gauteng: –24 until 26 April, Hill Crest Swimming Pool, Hatfield
– 27 until 28 April, Pimville Swimming Pool, Soweto
Free State: 01 – 02 May, Bloemanda Swimming Pool, Bloemfontein
Northern Cape: 04 – 05 May, Karen Muir Swimming Pool
North West: 08 until 09 May, Potchefstroom Public Swimming Pool
Limpopo: 11 until 12 May, Town Swimming Pool Polokwane
Mpumalanga: 15 until 16 May, Van Riebeck Swimming Pool, Nelspruit
Western Cape: 29 until 30 May, SA Navy Diving School
