The Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) is a government initiative that aims to provide temporary employment and skills development opportunities for the unemployed and underemployed in the City of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12/NQF level 4;
  • Youth between the ages of 18 to 35 years;
  • One (1) year’s relevant experience in a Health/Social Sector Environment;
  • Knowledge of the City’s process, best practices and policies and procedures on Health and social
    issues;
  • Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook;
  • Good communication and typing skills;
  • Numeric and good writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Different uses of electronic devices such as texting messages, sending emails, using the internet;

SHORT TERM CONTRACT POSITIONS

  • EPWP requirement: Proof that the applicant resides in Region listed by submitting a note from the
    ward councilor or an affidavit signed by an authorized body;
  • Affidavit that the applicant has no criminal record.

Primary Function:
Providing administrative, and clerical support to the Regional and Central Management team with regard to the implementation of the Ward-based HIV/AIDS Door-to-door Education Programme.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Provide Monitoring and Reporting Support to the Programme of Educators;
  • Providing administrative, and clerical duties to the Regional and Central management team with
    regard to the implementation of the Ward based HIV/AIDS Door-to-Door Education Programme;
  • Collecting, verification, and electronic capturing of data from all the Ward-based sites.
